AI and recording notices begin each call
Your receptionist starts each call by saying it is a virtual assistant and that the call is recorded. Those notices are part of the greeting and cannot be switched off.
- Virtual assistant noticeCallers hear that they are speaking with a virtual assistant.
- Recording noticeThe opening greeting tells callers that their call is being recorded.
- Demo disclosureCalls and chats in the browser demo are recorded and transcribed.

The opening notice gives callers clear information before the intake conversation. Your business instructions shape the answers and call routing, but they do not remove the virtual assistant or recording disclosure. You can hear the wording yourself in the receptionist demo.
Demo calls and chats on this site are also recorded and transcribed to show the result. Use the fictional scenarios when trying the service. The privacy policy explains the information collected from website visitors, customers and callers.
Call records, service providers and retention periods
Call records are available in your dashboard and processed through service providers that help deliver the receptionist. You choose recording retention; transcripts and summaries follow the account retention policy.

We collect caller numbers, audio, recordings, transcripts and summaries to provide the service. Hosting and storage providers support those records; telephone carriers, AI providers and email delivery providers help process calls and deliver results. The dashboard lets your business review its call information.
Recordings are kept for the period you select, either 30 or 90 days, then deleted. Transcripts and summaries remain while the account is open and are deleted within 30 days after closure or on request. For details beyond this description, email [email protected].
How AI providers process call information
AI model providers process voice and text as part of delivering the receptionist. Our AI model provider, OpenAI, does not use our API data to train its models by default.
- Service processingAI model providers handle voice and text to deliver receptionist conversations.
- Training defaultOpenAI does not use our API data for model training by default.
- Caller informationWe never sell personal information or use caller data for our own marketing.

Voice and text processing are part of how the AI receptionist understands a call and produces the conversation and records. AI model providers are one category of service provider, alongside hosting, storage, telephone carriers, payment processing, email delivery and analytics providers.
The training statement describes OpenAI's default treatment of our API data. It does not mean call information avoids service processing. For callers' information, your business decides what is collected and why, and we process it on your behalf. Data processing terms form part of our service terms.

The AI can make mistakes. Review summaries and keep a backup way for people to reach your business. Your receptionist is not an emergency service. Gas smell, CO alarm, sparks or burning smell, or flooding near electricity: get everyone out and call 911 or the utility from outside. Fire: get everyone out first, then call 911 from outside. Medical emergency or anyone in danger: hang up and call 911 right now. Then it alerts your team. Send service questions to [email protected] and privacy questions to [email protected].
